Front of House & Bar Supervisor

About Three Feathers Terrace

Role Overview

We are seeking a Front of House & Bar Supervisor to lead our event service team. As A primary point of contact during weddings and events, you will ensure smooth bar operations, oversee floor staff, and deliver exceptional service. This hands-on leadership role includes supervising evening staff, bartending as required when needed, and ensuring all aspects of the guest experience are executed to the highest standard.

We are willing to train the right candidate for this position - but you must have extensive previous bartending experience and a strong commitment to service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

 Guest Experience & Leadership

  • Serve as the main point of contact for couples and guests during events once venue coordinators leave
  • Lead the front-of-house team to deliver polished, friendly, and attentive service
  • Proactively manage guest needs and resolve any issues or complaints      with professionalism
  • Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment

Bar & Floor Operations

  • Oversee all aspects of bar service during events, including setup, inventory, staffing, and closing
  • Step in behind the bar as needed to maintain service flow
  • Supervise and coordinate floor staff to ensure efficient service, cleanliness and smooth event execution
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas at all times

Staff Coordination & Communication

  • Conduct pre-shift huddles to review expectations and assignments
  • Train, mentor, and coach bartenders and service staff on proper procedures and service standards
  • Maintain open lines of communication with owners and other team members to ensure event success
  • Attend mandatory weekly operations meetings (Wednesday or Thursday) to review upcoming events

Inventory & Compliance

  • Monitor and manage weekly event inventory; ensure proper stocking and product rotation
  • Receive and organize event-related deliveries
  • Ensure compliance with AGCO regulations, health and safety standards, and venue policies
  • Delegate and inspect completion of side, setup, and closing duties

What  Qualifications We're Looking For

  • Extensive bartending experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role (preferred, but not required)
  • Smart Serve certification (required)
  • First Aid certification (an asset)
  • Fluent in English with strong verbal communication skills
  • Professional appearance and demeanor

  • Confident decision-maker, especially in high-pressure or fast-paced situations
  • Detail-oriented and highly responsible
  • Able to manage and motivate a team with a positive attitude
  • Comfortable lifting, moving, standing, and walking for long periods

Schedule & Work Environment

  • Must be available Fridays through Sundays, plus some Thursdays      and holidays
  • Shift lengths vary between 10 to 12 hours, often late nights
  • Events take place indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Physical role requiring lifting, squatting, walking, and standing for extended periods
  • High season runs April through November; full weekend availability during this time is required

Job Type: Part-Time (Year-Round)

Hours: 20–30 hours/week
 

Schedule: Weekends required (Fri–Sun), with some Thursdays, holidays and occasional weekday events. 10–12 hour shifts. Late nights.
